When these amazing prints arrived in the mail from Alison Glass Designs I was absolutely in love. Having the opportunity to sew for Quilt Market in the spring was an awesome experience. I knew I had to sew many more items in the various prints of this gorgeous line of fabrics. And so I did...
Taking the patterns of choice mainly from Little Lizard King I decided to sew up some in a combination of prints from the FIELD DAY LINE by Alison Glass for Andover Fabrics. Both for summer and fall items. . You can find them all HERE on Alison Glass Designs.
The Knot Right Now top/dress pattern is currently one of my favorite patterns. This knot top is layered over some gorgeous Andover coral chambray ruffles.
The Knot top is one of those patterns that can be worn all seasons. It is easy to layer and these vibrant deep colors are perfect for the autumn. This top with its flutters, tuxedo ruffle and gorgeous big double hemmed ruffle done in a combination of prints is truly stunning.
The Homegrown Tank--another Little Lizard King pattern is one that is so comfy on with its knit bodice and woven skirt combination. My girls cannot get enough of this style. A real favorite this summer!
The prints of this dress were chosen by Alison for market.
The Swing Top pattern by Little Lizard King is such a fast sew and it looks great on young and older girls alike. The elasticized flutter straps allow for lots of room. I love these two prints and how they compliment one another with vibrant contrasting colors. Hot pink florals and the yellow/pink weeds are perfect. This top paired with skinny jeans is the perfect combination for the fall. Throw these flutters over a long sleeve tee and you are ready to roll in the cooler months ahead.
Yoga band, four panels, exposed double ruffle, and accent pocket all create the Everyday Play Skirt another Little Lizard King pattern. This skirt style is a girl's staple with amazing comfort and twirl factor. Throw it on over a tank in the summer or with a cardigan sweater in cooler months with tights and boots and it is such a easy transitional piece too. I used four different prints in this skirt from the field day line all complimenting one another.
The Hummingbird dress by Rabbit Rabbit Creations is a summer sensation. Add the boldness of the Spent print and sweet criss cross straps with gorgeous big flutters and you have one gorgeous sundress.
The main print I fall in love with and ended up being the focal print in all the designs was SPENT. I am so drawn to the grey background with the amazing floral vibrant color scheme. It seems to call to me. Fall is my favorite season and I can see this whole line blending in with the amazing palette of the natural colors of the season. This line is even more gorgeous in person and the combinations of prints and colorways are endless.
Many thanks to Alison Glass for the opportunity to sew for Market!
And as always the amazing Claudia Blake Photography for such an awesome talent. The gorgeous headbands were created with such creative talent by The Crafty European. And to these sweet stunning models for their time and patience!
