Sew Mama Sew Giveaway

Check out ALL the Giveaways at Sew Mama Sew, including mine!
For one entry, simply leave a comment telling me what you love most about sewing, who inspired you to start, or anything sewing related!

For two extra entries, LIKE my facebook fan page.

You are eligible to win any Little Lizard King sewing pattern of your choice. I'll select at least two winners. Last time, I kept drawing and drawing names. It was a bit ridiculous, really, but I just couldn't help myself, and this time I have an excuse - tis the season!
Also mention which sewing pattern you'd like to receive and how to get in touch with you, if your email address is not in your profile. The entire selection of patterns is available here!

Open to international readers...
You could win a prep school pleated skirt tutorial.
I love this little two tier skirt.

Sewing is SUCH a great creative outlet. Both of my wonderful grandmothers taught me how to use their machines and gave me free reign over their fabric scrap boxes starting at age six :) I got the freedom to experiment and learn! I hope I can pass this down to my little girls :)

Would love the ruffle pants pattern - lkellywoods@hotmail.com

Thanks! Have a beautiful day.

Ahh, My grandmother supported her family, as a single mother in England in the 50s, by sewing. Her little townhouse with 2 rooms upstairs, downstairs had a living room, a teeny kitchen, and a front room that was her sewing room. I remember that sewing machine perched in the window that announced to passersby that she sewed for a living. I loved that front room. (I hated the bathroom however, an OUTHOUSE that you had to walk outside through the backyard to get to. Yuck)

Sewing for me is a connection to my late grandmother and mother. They sewed pretty things for me that I adored to twirl in as a child. And now I get to sew pretty things for my daughgter.

LOVE the princess dress!

If I won, I'd go with either the Brooke dress/shirt OR pleated skirt. Can't decide!

I began sewing out of necessity at a young age, taught by my mother. That was back when buying fabric was cheaper than buying ready made clothing. :P

I've sewn for myself throughout the years, but I didn't discover an overwhelming passion until becoming pregnant with a girl. I'm obsessed, making frilly frocks for the daughters of friends, while building up a range of sizes for my own daughter at the same time.

I've loved your patterns so far, but haven't acquired them all yet - hence my participation!

Oh my word! Your blog and etsy sites are fabulous!! How have I missed them up until now?

I have been sewing for over 45 years. One of my grandmothers was a profession seamstress (I prefer the term 'Needlewoman') and my other grandmother was also a wonderful needlewoman making many of my dresses. My mother loves to sew too and even at 84 she and I continue to compare notes on our recent projects. So that is the long version of how I was inspired to sew...it is in my blood!

The Double ruffle knot dress is adorable. Would love to win it, but quite frankly, any and all of your patterns are my new "favorites."

Thank you for the opportunity to win.

I was inspired to (learn to) sew by two new friends I had made in a play group. They helped teach me and got me hooked. I love to sew because I can make clothes and gifts for my daughter that are so much more special than running out to Target and grabbing something. Also, it's patterns like yours that inspire me to continue. They make it easy for an advanced beginner like me to make things that look like they came from a boutique! :)

The fancy pants diaper cover. It's summer here and my little girl gets so sweaty, this way she could be stylishly almost naked!

I never made a thing in my life except for HS home ec projects until I was pregnant with my first child. That brought out the crafty gene that was lurking in me. Almost everything I do is inspired by my children.

Sewing is my escape. I love sitting down with something in my head and seeing it take form. I started sewing when I was little with my Oma and dropped it for many years. When I had my own kids I started it up again and I am so glad I did.

I've only really been sewing for a few months and I love that it's instantly gratifying. I hate working for hours and not really seeing progress...

Love the Double Ruffle knot top pattern.

What a great giveaway! I have a little 2 year old daughter who would love that peasant dress for the Spring! :-) My favorite thing about sewing is taking a new pattern & figuring it out & just feeling great about a completed project when I'm done! :-) thanks for the giveaway!

I cant afford them now but I can learn to make them!!! So from your patterns? Oh my!! All of them lol. But I love the double ruffle knot top and the ruffled pants!!
